The abstract is consive and meets all the requirements to gets audience attention. The paper's aim is understandable and investigation' s results are showed as well as the future consequences. At the title, it would be better to add the investigation place so readers may have a precisely idea of research place and its environment. Just reading the title, it provides a short fully view of the research and what it will be about. References are relevant and properly referenced.
The introduction does present the context and broad background to understand the problem to confront. It settles the place where studies where made and specific location, name of the community. To attract readers attention, it presents the consequences of Hg in human organism and contamination problems involved. It presents facts and interesting data which readers may not know and would increase their interest. Furthermore, this research advances the available knowledge of the field. The vocabulary or terms used, are common and easy to understand by any reader. Besides, the objectives of the paper are clear and well explained. Methodology should be explained a bit more.
Study methods are valid and reliable due to following points: The paper contains evidence of samples collection (Table 1) with specific places and date. Also, it describes every sample analysis method used and approximated numeric results to obtain. For example: characterization, acid-extractable metal analyses. A summary of analytical methods is given with a full information web page link. Besides, with the information provided, it is possible to replicate this investigation in other location.
Results are showed in an appropriate and understandable manner. Each result table contains measurement units with its study variable name. Besides, the descriptive statistic tool used (bar diagram) is the most appropriate to show minerals concentrations in each sample. Graphics use common terms – units so it can be understood easily. Codes use for different samples (table 2) is an excellent idea not to confuse readers and make the paper engaging.
In the 1st paragraph, the results from this research are compared to other papers and we can conclude that the research does provide meaningful data to future investigations. The references implemented are relevant ant comparable. It does state the conclusion in a sentence supported by fundaments (results). Furthermore, the researchers suggest future actions to continue the field investigation and mitigation actions to warranty the health of Buru Island habitants.
