Abstract, title and references

the paper is talking about Sulfaguanidin and its 2 new cocrystal forms, aiming to study it physically by FTIR XRD DSC and SXRD, and most importantly bacterial and cytotoxicity study. the authors mentioned in the graphical abstract clearly the methods they applied to get the cocrystals by LAG and solvent evaporation, but it is not mentioned in the introduction. the title is good and give a full idea of what the research is all about.

the references:

are relevant and most of them recent, but 1- the reference no 8 has a typing mistake. 2- references no 12 and 14 need to be similar in the writing method.

Introduction/ background

1- please mention the name of prepartion methods od cocrystallization. 2- please talk about any possible problems of SG related to toxicity 3- can you tell to which type of biopharmaceutical classification system (BCS) does SG belong

Methods

1- the used method in preparation and analysis are well written and reliable but sections 2.2.6, 2.2.7, 2.2.8 need to be cited to references. 2- please mention why did you pick different methods to prepare the 2 cocrystals?

Results

1- first line in the results section, "synthons theory" needs citation. and a brief explanation about it. ● Tables and figures relevant are clearly presented. ● Titles, columns, and rows are labelled correctly and clearly.

Discussion and Conclusions

the discussion is too weak and it repeats the results without any significant addition to the science. it needs to be re written with more evidence and citations. ● the conclusions answers the aims of the study.
