Methodology:
1. Under health status, did ‘other diseases besides COVID-19’ include any participants stating that they have a pre-existing anxiety disorder or psychiatric condition? Some of the confounding factors can be pre-existing psychiatric condition and inadequate basic supplies that have been found to significantly influence anxiety levels in other studies. If it has not been considered then it may be added in limitations of study.

Discussion:
2. Page 10, Para 2- The authors mention that the results of this study cannot easily be replicated in other countries due to the given timeline corresponding to the panic in public having already passed. However there are many countries that currently have varied waves of outbreaks that may have been controlled, who could be potentially find similar results. There can be other governments that may adequately provide quarantined public with basic supplies too. I recommend you rephrase it to ‘the findings of our results are unique due to the following conditions in which the study was conducted’ or in those lines. Alternately, these 4 mentioned points can be the explanation why anxiety levels were found to be low in this study.

  1. The authors should cite this Italian study with similar methodology conducted in March 2020- doi-10.1016/j.sleep.2020.05.011 which has found high anxiety and distress levels and include an explanation why their study had different findings. You could use the reasons as mentioned in Page 10, Para 2 to explain this.

  2. Please correct multiple grammatical and spelling errors in the entire paper.
