Methods: -this is retrospective, non-comparative, multi-center case series -inclusion criteria were well defined -instead of a simple demographics table, a flow chart of patients included in the study and also those excluded would give a clearer insight -the study is valid and reliable and offers enough methodological details to replicate it if needed

Results: -The results are mainly presented as percentage of the total -no real statistics is used to -different operations were used to repair retinal detachments and also this information is presented in percentages -other peripheral retinal changes (besides retinal detachments) are also documented and counted, it would be far more didactic if some diagrams were used instead of tables only

Discussion: -the discussion is overall quite extensive and well structured -is is well explained how the findings address the aim and emphasized how the findings fill the gap of knowledge, because there were no similar studies before -study limitations are collected in a special paragraph and are well addressed -take-home massage is clear and written in a separate paragraph

Overall, this is an important and well written paper which fills the knowledge gap in the field.
