- The small sample size, with a total sample of only 166 cases, may affect the statistical power, especially in subgroup analyses.
- PCU relies on patients' recollections and medical records, and there is a memory bias (especially for patients in the advanced stage who may have blurred memories).
- Confounding factors were not adequately adjusted: Factors that might affect the PCU, such as comorbidities and family nutritional support, were not included in the analysis.
- The research period coincided with the peak of the COVID-19 epidemic, and its potential interference with the results was not analyzed.
- Lack of multi-center validation.
- The lack of in-depth discussion on the interpretation of the results.
