The paper is well written and describing the work conducted well. It provides some thought provoking reflection on the profession and guides thinking in terms of moving the profession forward. There are no major issues but a few minor corrections:
Page 6 Line 8 – there is a reference to research questions – we are not told what these are. Can you add these to the end of the introduction.
Page 12, line 30 - This may require development of the nutrition competency of other professionals. – this line does not seem necessary, it simply reiterates what the previous line says.
Page 14, line 36-46 - Professional associations and employers working with education institutions is required to diversify exposure to the depth and breadth of the profession and to provide financial and other incentives for potential entrants to the profession who may have had limited access due to the unconscious bias and structural barriers related to poverty, colour or gender.
This line is quite unclear. I think ‘is required’ should be ‘are required’, but also it is along sentence and it may benefit from splitting up.
