Dear Zhang and group,
I have carefully reviewed your manuscript titled " Continuous flow biocatalysis: synthesis of purine nucleoside esters catalyzed by lipase TL IM from Thermomyces lanuginosus, " and would like to provide some feedback and revision points for your consideration. Please find the points below:
- Introduction: The sentence "How to find………..attention of many people" does not sound scientifically correct. Please consider rewriting this sentence to enhance its scientific accuracy.
- Introduction: The three sentences "Various parameter……nucleoside esters" appear to be abstract or conclusion statements. I recommend removing these from the introduction to maintain the focus and coherence of the introduction section.
- It seems that a similar work was published by your group in 2018 (RSC Adv., 2018, 8, 12614), which you have cited. Based on the citation, it appears that there is no novelty in the chemistry presented in the manuscript. The methodology and experimental parts seem to be similar, with the only change being the use of purine instead of uridine.
- The manuscript would have a greater impact if you had included any biological assays to support the claim that these purine nucleoside esters demonstrate antiviral or anticancer activities.
- The manuscript contains several grammatical errors that need to be corrected or rephrased for clarity and precision.
I believe that addressing these points will significantly enhance the quality and impact of your manuscript. Please consider these revisions as you continue to work on your manuscript.
