Overall, I believe this is a quality study, with a well thought out qualitative methodology. I was pleased with your ability to tie in the global importance of professional identities in nursing education, despite this study arising from issues pertinent to the profession in Australia. I also appreciated the transparency related to the limitations of the study. I appreciated the inclusion of the two word clouds that were results of the group meetings. I believe further explanation and/or discussion on those results, how they changed from year to year, and how they facilitated the group to develop a philosophy would be beneficial. For example, common responses in 2015 included content and experts, then in 2016 it was fun and collaboration. There was a notable shift in these responses that was not really explored. Perhaps, benefits of the community were better understood in 2016. Another area to strengthen your work might be an explanation of why now? Why is this work important to the global nursing education community leading into 2022? I can think of a few reasons why there is benefit to a community of practice in a time of distance, decreased social interaction, added stressors, and potential dissatisfaction in the role. This may be a nice point to allude to in the discussion section.
