I suggest the authors do the contact angle test of the composites studied.

Please draw a schematic of the interaction between the modified chitin, starch, and PLA.

the hydrogen bonding interaction between the water molecule and the starch, read more papers for a better understanding of the chemistry.

Please draw the structure of chitin and mark the hydrophobic part

Please do incorporate the photographs of starch and chitin powder used for the sample preparation.

TEM images of the composites would be worth it.
