This paper presents a new strategy to determine the optimal size of BESS for microgrids. The paper starts with the problem presentation and an overview of the existing similar approaches. After that, the formulation of the problem is made, and the proposed approach is presented with the right level of detail. And then, some results of simulations are carried out without any comparative analysis. These comparative analyses are fundamental to verify the quality of the proposed approach. The paper contains several good ideas; however, some topics must be incorporated into the paper. The authors are asked to include the following issues in their paper:
1) the overview must be more critical with the major drawback, to clarify the position of contributions of the article in the area;
2) the results must have a better numerical comparison with other existing works, shown in the overview, with more details; and
3) to describe in what situation the proposed approach has better results than the other approaches.
