Dear Editor: Thank you for inviting me to review this article about “An effective polydopamine coating to improve stability andbioactivity of carvacrol-loaded zein nanoparticles”. Overall employed methods are in accordance with aimed application, and conclusion is supported by obtained results. It will be valuable piece of research work for the fellow researchers in the same field. The MS can be published after addressing the following minor revisions
- Line 48 and 49 genera and species name should be ialic
- Line 52 contain twice word area it should be replaced with some other suitable word
- Line 92 order of references should be year wise 2016,2017, 2020
- Some references appear in bold form?
- Line no 207 please mention what kind of serial dilution was done and mention quantity of samples transferred on Nutrient agar
- Line 331 carvacrol had stronger antioxidant activity than did nanoparticles some think sound missing please recheck the line
- Line 348 order of references is not correct
- For antibacterial analysis both Gram negative strains were been used for a better contrast there should be one representative Gram positive organism
- Line 366 set order of references year wise
- Line no 417 The most striking result was that the antioxidant and antifungal effectiveness of CLZPNs could be remarkably increased by their coating with PDA is confusing as antibacterial activity was not evaluated against fungal cells
- Ethical approval should be obtained to use Salmonella typhimurium strain as this strain is a pathogenic bacteria and required to meet biosafety criteria during experiments
