The study aimed to determine the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding at 6 months and its associated factors in Tabuk, North West Saudi Arabia. 1.The abstract well matches the rest of the article. The aim of the study is clear, however if the title is rephrased it will be more informative answering the questions of were, who and when. 2. It would have been better if the introduction included more recent regional and local studies. The research question is well stated. 3. The way the sample was selected i.e the sampling technique needs more clarification.

-Selection of the primary health centers by simple random technique leaves some areas unstudied, cluster random technique may be better for this - on what grounds the 50% prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding was used to calculate the sample size(reference) - how were the mothers chosen in the study (by which sampling technique?)and how many woman from each center - the pilot study to test the validity of the data collection tool was done in the study area, if it had been done in another area it would have been better for fear of contamination 4. The source of the questionnaire is not clear. Is it a standard questionnaire or is it made specially for the study? 5. Regarding the results section of the study, the technique of recruitment of the mothers in the study was not mentioned clearly, however, it seems to be non-random(convenience). So only descriptive statistics are expected to be displayed and no need for the inferential statistics. -titles of the tables and figure should be complete with the time, person and place. -in figure one, it is not clear what proportion of infants in each group?because if these proportions are not equal, this will affect the interpretation of the rates of exclusive breastfeeding within each group. 6.What about the possible confounders?. It will be better if they were mentioned and discussed. 7. limitation and conclusion of the study are well stated. 8. The references are well written, however if more local references are included it is expected to be better for comparison. 9. In general the strengths of the manuscript include the important topic and the the way it is written and how the discussion and conclusion were displayed. 10. The weaknesses include the study design and recruitment of the participants.
