The article aims to fill the gap between for orange rust forecast and management. The authors obtained five weather-based model to predict orange rust development. Although the obtained models are valid for local conditions, the article provides a guide to similar works. The abstract contains the key details necessary to understand the article. Literature review is convenient for the field in study. The objective is clearly expressed. Data presentation is clear. Tables and Figures are relevant and addresses the research question.

Minor points. 1. The information provided by the tables and figures are repeated in the text of the article (Subsection: Weather variables correlated with orange rust severity, lines 256 to 260 and lines 235 y 265, r and P values; Subsection: Model validation lines 292 to 294 and lines 300-302, CVS and AUC values) 2. The Discussion section did not begin with a direct and explicit statement of the results. The authors make a review of two paragraph (Lines 305-328) of the conditions for sugarcane growing in Florida. In my opinion, this information is not well placed in this Section.
