Sanjeev Gautam et al reviewed the MOF/Graphene oxide composites in smart supercapacitors, including various fabrication techniques, electrochemical characterizations, and the outlook. However, I have to reject the manuscript due to the following problems:
(1)All the reported fabrication techniques are all traditional methods, and there are no new approaches.
(2)The first two figures (Fig.1, Fig.2) are not very relevant to the main theme of the review, and can be removed.
(3)“ 600 kilowatts in just 15 seconds”. This sentence is not clear.
(4)Fig. 3a. There are no cathodes and anodes in a EDLC. They are more commonly referred to as positive and negative electrodes.
(5)Fig.3b. The schematic diagram is incorrect. The cathode should be the positive electrode, and it does not show the insertion reaction of Li+ at the negative electrode. The species on the surface of the positive terminal should be anions, not lithium-based salts.
(6)In equation (3), (6), there are conceptual errors. 1/Ctotal=1/Cdl+1/CFaraday. The author's writing attitude is not rigorous enough.
(7)Most of the content are insignificant advancements, with little scientific significance.
