Bussemaker and co-authors thoroughly studied the influence of acoustic factors (frequency and pressure amplitude) and external parameters (such as liquid height) on sonochemical activity. They investigated sonoluminescence (SL), sonochemiluminescence (SCL) and potassium iodide (KI) dosimetry at 114 different settings by changing the power upto 40 W, and in different frequencies ranging from 22 to 2000 kHz. Sonochemistry and mechanochemistry operate with completely different principle and RSC mechanochemistry is a dedicated journal for chemical transformations using mechanical force. Although their study provides significant insight into the influence of liquid height on cavitation activity within the reactor, which is mostly manifested in the power density, it does not fit the scope of the journal RSC mechanochemistry. However, the study is comprehensive and may be suitable for publication in journals like RSC Sustainability.
