  1. The abstract is structured appropriately. The aim of study and the results are presented clearly. The tile is relevant and informative. 2. The relevant studies are included in the literature review, but it fails to support mediation role of Self-efficacy. A better review of the literature for mediator variable might help clarify how it link to other variables of the study.
  2. The process of sample selection is presented clearly. The main variables of the study are defined and measured using related questionnaires. Overall, the reliability and validity of the method are guaranteed. I had no unanswered question after reading 4. The data presented in result section align with the aim of the study to identify mediation role of self-efficacy in the relationship between parental closeness and suicidal ideation among adolescents. The content of result section add to the data presented in tables and figures in an appropriate way. The sub-title of the Tables and Figures are informative and align with what is presented in the Tables or Figures. Columns of the Tables are labeled clearly. Overall, the mediation role and all the statistical significant results are clear and no question remains unanswered after reading through the results.
  3. The discussion is align with the aim of study but it could be improved if the role of mediation is supported by referring to the previous studies.
  4. References are relevant, supportive and recent.
  5. Overall, the study is consistent within itself. The study adds to the importance of the relationship between parents and adolescents, especially with mother. The study also highlights the significant role of and self-efficacy in psychological intervention to curb suicidal ideation among adolescents.
  6. This study examines self-efficacy and its association with parental closeness and suicidal ideation among Malaysian adolescents. The mediation role of self-efficacy was assessed using SPSS macro. The authors utilized a sample of 648 students from 12 national schools in Selangor, Malaysia. The results supported that self-efficacy partially mediate the relationship between mother closeness and suicidal ideation and fully mediate the relationship between father closeness and suicidal ideation. Overall, the study is presented in acceptable and appropriate way. 9. This study has strengths in the field of psychology. The result of the study is applicable in psychological intervention to prevent suicidal ideation among adolescents.
  7. The study could be improved in the literature section, and slightly in conclusion section for mediation role of self-efficacy.
