The manuscript focused on the relationship between the plate boundary dynamics and the provenance of basin fills in the southwestern South China Block (SCB) byU-Pb-Hf isotope and biotite 40Ar/39Ar thermochronology. In general, it is well-written and well organized. The achivements have significant contribution for the Early-Middle Triassic tectonic evolution in the southwestern SCB. I would recommend a minor revision herein.
1. The methods employed in the study should be noted in the Introduction.
2. The evidence from other subjects such as structural geology, geophysics and etc. is recommended to be cited in 5.2 section.
3. The line location of Fig.10 should be added in Fig.1.
4. Field photo is absent.
