This is a well written research study that will further help in curbing drug, multi-drug and pre-extensively drug resistant tuberculosis. With little improvement, the paper will be good for publication.

The study objective could be better presented. If the study population were suspected TB patients, no mention of informed consent or ethical permission was mentioned.

The emphasis of the study is more of showcasing the usefulness of one diagnostic method (direct sequencing) over the traditional diagnostic method in prompt detection of MDR and XDR-TB. Hence, the title can be revised to reflect this.
