Comments on the abstract, title, references
The aim of the study is clear, and the method used is consistent with the aim. The title of the study is relevant. The references are relevant, recent, and referenced correctly. The introduction reflects the situation in institutions and the research question is clearly stated and it is justified to undertake the research. However, it is prudent to mention in the introduction other factors that hinder transformation to formative assessment.
Regarding method, the study is a qualitative research that purposively recruits participants. In terms of validity and reliability, it is difficult to judge and if the same methodology is adopted in other institutions results might differ.
with regards to results, it is clearly written illustrated in tables demonstrated in student quotation reflecting the trustworthiness of the article.
The discussion reflects the result and discusses it from a different point of view though the idea of the authors is with changes toward formative assessments.
The limitations of the study are clearly mentioned. However, they will not affect the result and conclusion.
Overall, the study clearly states the aim follow a method that consistent with the aim, the result and discussion are well allied, and the study is innovative in drawing attention to such a critical area of research. the result will have an impact in any institution that would like to shift the paradigm of assessment toward assessment for learning rather than of learning.

The aim of the study is clearly stated and the method used to address the research is consistent with the aim. The introduction of the study provides snap shot literature review with clear statement of gap knowledge and why this research is important.
