De Germay and corresponding authors explored the use of SGLT2I in France and suggested the need to review its current safety profile.

More explanation of the potential physiological mechanisms behind the increase in comorbidities for different anti-diabetic drugs is needed to support the mentioned clinical studies.

The authors can also correlate the clinical evidence more with its real-world implications on diabetic management in France.

In addition, rather than stating a definitive discontinuation of SGLT2I, the author could provide more elaboration that there may be reconsiderations for specific demographic risk groups that may be related to increased comorbidities when using SGLT2I therapies.

For example, is it possible to extrapolate from the subgroup analysis results whether a certain age or social group would be at higher risk of comorbidities?

The manuscript needs to be revised by a native English speaker as grammatical errors have been spotted throughout the manuscript.
