Reviewer's report
The commentary on crowd-sourcing Azolla is the kind of piece that will have increased value as time goes on, providing us with a sense of the history of this moment, just as the first genome for ferns is about to be assembled. IT's an exciting moment, and a long-awaited one. As it is a commentary, the casual voice seems appropriate, and the science behind the commentary appears to be sound. Attached is a marked copy with minor suggestions for text change, which I believe will improve the commentary.
