Overall statement: The study aims to measure the impact of zakat in reducing poverty. The study uses a unique measurement of the Fuzzy approach to measure the zakat collection and make a new poverty measurement. This study successfully proved that zakat significantly reduces poverty.
Overall strengths of the article: The strength of this study lies in the measurement of poverty and zakat collection. This kind of measurement can be applied in countries that have no official publication of zakat.
Major points in the article which needs clarification, refinement, reanalysis, rewrites and/or additional information and suggestions for what could be done to improve the article. 1. The study needs more robustness, two-year periods is not enough Specific comments on weaknesses of the article and what could be done to improve it 2. It would be more interesting if the study can make several scenarios in the collection of zakat (when the economy is good, constant, and bad) 3. The study does not classify the type of zakat used: consumptive, productive, etc.
Minor points like figures/tables not being mentioned in the text, a missing reference, typos, and other inconsistencies. 1. The figures are unclear, need to design better figures with higher resolutions 2. Need to include most recent literature, the last 2 years.
