The aim of the paper was clear and succinct. The title of the study was relevant and relates to the study. Results were presented clearly and simply in the abstract. References used were recent, relevant and referenced correctly. The introduction was well written. What was already known about the subject was clearly articulated and assumptions was explained. Factors which could mask certain results were also mentioned clearly which helps prevent further confusion. The research question was clearly outlined and relevant given current knowledge about the topic. Subject selection was stringent, and the exclusion criteria was clearly written. However, it would be good to know if the participants volunteered or were selected for the study. The independent and dependent variables were well defined and relevant to the study, as well as appropriately measured. Study methods were valid. Intra-examiner reliability was measured, and results expected are reliable. Methods were also well articulated and are likely to be reproducible. Table results were presented clearly with columns clearly labelled. Words in the table were all relevant and figures were rounded off appropriately. Statistically significant results were mentioned. The paper reiterated current knowledge and linked it to the results of their study and offered logical explanations as to why the results may have differed. References to other similar studies were also made. Limitations of the study were addressed as well, which opens up the possibility for future research on the topic.
