I think that this is an important article, however, it is wordy, and organized in such a fashion as to make reading difficult. There are a few grammatical errors and some redundancy that could be condensed into the discussion. The manuscript would benefit greatly from a "Results" section, which could have various subheadings pertaining to the individual questions. I believe that it might also be possible to emphasize more strongly that these ethical issues may be influencing students not to pursue a career in equine medicine.

This article is much improved over the initial submission but is still a bit wordy. The subject matter is of great importance to the equine veterinary profession.
