This manuscript used a plant resurvey data of 70 years to evaluate the community dynamics, and analyze the potential drivers of these changes. Overall, it is well-written, although the authors need some clarifications in Methods and Results.
(1) I am confused on the numbers of plots for the resurvey. At the beginning of the Results, they said 84 plots, but they mentioned 42 plots in Methods and other parts.
(2) Climate data: Which periods of the climate data did they use? Are these data only for the current years? If so, how could the climate represent the changes within last 70 years?
(3) Microclimate: The authors state that “vegetation cover patterns were strongly influenced by microclimate” in the abstract and the discussion. I am wondering how they define the microclimate. I don’t think that the data from ClimateEU software is microclimate data.

I think my concerns have been satisfactorily dealt with (as well as the other reviewer′s). To me the ms has significantly improved now and deserves publication.
