The authors have studied the magmatic and feeding system of an eroded monogenetic volcanic field using a combination of methods (fieldwork, remote sensing, statistical analysis and mechanical models). The authors have identified 3 main different systems and show the complexity of the geometrical network when intruding soft sediments. Several studies have been published recently showing the importance of sills in the formation of monogenetic volcanic field, and this paper adds a robust new example of such mechanism. I think this paper is very well written, the data are well presented and support the model described by the authors. Finally, the work is well referenced. I accept the paper with minor corrections.
