In sum, the authors provide an interesting debate on this topic. However, this paper is very closely related to another paper that has been published by some of the same authors: Immonen et al. Sports Medicine - Open (2017) 3:18 Understanding Action and Adventure Sports Participation—An Ecological Dynamics Perspective DOI 10.1186/s40798-017-0084-1 The authors write "In our earlier work, we proposed ecological dynamics as a holistic, comprehensive framework for defining sports performance and for the study of participation in action and adventure sports (Immonen et al., 2017). In this paper, we include all aspects of definitions of action and adventure sports as discussed earlier, adopting the broad concept of affordances as encased by the notion of a ‘form of life’". However, the major topic is very similar. Many parts are very similar in every detail. A most substantial clarification of the new messages provided by the present perspective is needed. What's the new?
