Dear author, Thank you for accepting most of my suggestions. Even the English was improved! Well done! Best regards, Rev Dear authors, the manuscript is well written although some minor mistakes can be noticed. A brief review of the English should be done by a native English speaker who is amongst the authors, by the way. The biocontrol abilities of two A. migulanus strains to act as biocontrol agents against plant pathogens were compared. The strain Nagano was found to have a considerable biocontrol potential mainly of plant pathogenic fungi. However, selection of an appropriate strain of A. migulanus for use as a BCA is crucial in obtaining successful disease management. The abstract is appropriate and it reflects the study's complexity and interest. Likewise, the Introduction makes a suitable state of the art, and elucidates de main goals of the study and results. M&M are adequate but some remarks can be made: 1) the pine needles essay to test the Am Nagano attachment to the foliar surface was not detailed in this section; thus, in the Discussion, line 444 it is mentioned for the first time (and in Figure 8). In the same way, the pathogen D. septosporum was mentioned only in the Discussion and not previously without further information about its relevancy for the present study. As such it should be better explained in this section M&M with possible reference to previous works of the same authors. I couldn't see some of the figures (only a black sheet was available); figure 8 C is not that informative, mainly the pictures of the fungi.

The results reflect a great deal of work put in this study. However, an effort should be made to align the objectives, the M&M and the results. For instance, some results were obtained without previous detailed presentation of the experimental design in the M&M sections.

In Figures caption, the authors should write in full the species' names.

Nagano is written in italic and sometimes non-italic. This section (Discussion) puts in evidence the great amount of work done in these studies and the several aspects covered to distinguish both bacterial strains aiming to select the appropriate strain of A. migulanus for use as a BCA.

In my opinion, the references to the Figures should be removed from this section, reserved for Results discussion only. The manuscript is a valid work needing some small adjustments (see my previous comments and the sticky notes on the PDF manuscript).

Good work!

Rev.
