Abstract: Present and covered the background, method, aim and results. The information was detailed and I didn't observe any typos.

Title: The title is clear and is demonstrative of what the paper is about.

References: References were listed.

Introduction: The author began the introduction describing information that could be a cause for drug abuse. And did a great job of introducing the paper and information that would be covered.

Background: The background seemed to describe information on the history of factors that led the author to research the topic.

Methodology:

Five electronic databases were searched for articles and six of the articles were used to gather information.

Data and results: Some of the information found a relationship between shame and maladaptive behaviors such as substance abuse. This article also did not cover a broad age of participants and it was thought that substance abuse behaviors might decrease with age.

Discussions and Conclusions: This article had helpful information I feel that it needed to cover a wider range of age of the participants studies. It did show that shame could be a cause for substance abuse but didn't really go into detail about the causes of shame that could lead to substance abuse or other factors that could cause the abuse of drugs.
