This is a very nice and interesting paper dealing with important question of drivers of parasite species turnover. I have only a couple of minor comments.
1. There are a lot of repetitions between Introduction and Discussion, I suggest to avoid them.
2. Drivers of species turnover have been considered in other parasite taxa as well including studies using similar methodology. I suggest to mention them in the discussion. Importantly, one of the questions in these studies was relative roles of environmental variation or host turnover in parasite species turnover. it will be interesting to compare these results with those of the current study.
