Dear authors

I like your paper. It's fascinating and it can be advantageous for future works about bioremediation or new soil analyses.

I need to recognise that I'm not an expert on soil bacteria but it's very interesting. I have some comments about your paper that can improve it.

L13. "that has interfered with the surrounding soil bacterial community diversity" Please, delete or change. Lead smelting has more adverse effects that interfered with soil bacterial community

L31. Lead has more origins than "cable solders" and the main source until 2000's was petrol, with an essential role for industrialisation and urbanisation than cable solders. Please, revise this sentence.

L34. Carcinogenicity, toxicity, etc.

L48. African? What means African? Is it South Africa?

L49. "by-products."

Table 1. I suggest that delete Standard deviation from the table because it's complicated to read. Please, pun only average values and make statistical differences between samples.

Figure 3. Change this figure to a table or more figures. In actual form, it's very hard to understand it.

I'm not English native, but I think that do not have language issues.
