Comments on abstract, title, references
This paper's title is descriptive and important, and its abstract provides detailed information on its aim, its methodology and its findings. The references are adequate, recent and correctly written.
Comments on introduction/background/literature review
The introduction provides general information about the teaching pronunciation practices and the gap in previous studies related to this area. The research questions are clearly outlined but some justifications are still required for such a study to be undertaken. Such rationales include issues related to teacher success in teaching English pronunciation in Saudi Arabia, the learning environment and subject matter. Some subtitles must be included in the literature review, such as: — The goals of EFL pronunciation teaching in Saudi Arabia. — Several points concerning the EFL pronunciation content in Saudi Arabia. — The importance of teaching EFL pronunciation In Saudi Arabia.
Comments on methodology
The study provides clear information on the selection process for the subjects. Issues related to the study instrument 's validity are also clearly outlined but some more details are needed regarding the study instrument 's reliability. These details include methods used to measure the study instrument 's reliability and value. The sample size is (55) EFL teachers but it is limited and the gender of these teachers is not provided. So the authors need to take into consideration the sample size and the participants' gender.
Comments on data and results
The researchers presented the findings using charts and tables. They made clear use of statistical operations and their interpretations are clearly stated for the results.
Comments on discussion and conclusions
The researchers appropriately discussed the study's results. In light of the related studies, they explained their results. They showed the similarities and differences between the results of their study and those of previous studies. They gave some pedagogical implications, clear conclusions and limitations.
Comments on structure
It is a descriptive study designed to explore the beliefs of (55) EFL teachers in Saudi Arabia regarding pronunciation teaching and the results showed that those teachers highly valued pronunciation teaching. The study deals with an important area in the field of teaching English language. In the future, I suggest the authors use the qualitative methods to explore students' beliefs about pronunciation teaching, and explore the differences between the responses of students and the responses of their teachers.
