This article proposed nicorandil as a possible therapeutic agent for COVID-19 and discussed the potential mechanism supporting this hypothesis. However, there should be more evidences for this hypothesis.

Major points:
1. In the section "Hypoxia and oxidative stress in COVID-19 and possible modulation by nicorandil", the discussion on the modulatory effect of nicorandil is too much simplistic. It's advised to develop this section with detailed evidences to support its hypothesized role in COVID-19.

  1. It's also the same situation for the following sections:
  2. Inflammation and pulmonary cell death during COVID-19 course and the
    predicted role of nicorandil
  3. Fibrosis induced by SARS-CoV2 and the anti-fibrotic potential of nicorandil
  4. Coagulation disorders accompanied COVID-19 and possible modulation by
    nicorandil
The disucssion on relevant pathophysiology invovled in COVID-19 is good, however, the discussion on the therapeutic role of nicorandil is insufficient.

  5. More clinical evidences should be provided if there is any which are very important to support this hypothesis.
