This is clearly a position paper for the IDEA Consortium, which I think has the very worthy aim
of developing a systems biology approach within a larger ecological framework. Moorea is
clearly an ideal model site. However, from a personal readership point of view, I would like to
see a little more detail (even very briefly), with examples, on the types of data being collected
and how they are starting to integrate these in Moorea which can provide best practise for other island surveys.
