Findings

This is a review of an article titled "Effectiveness of the combat pelvic protection system in the prevention of genital and urinary tract injuries: An observational study", in which the authors aimed to demonstrate if its use is associated with a reduction of the GU injuries. The title is informative and relevant. The abstract matched the rest of the article and the aim is clear. The background about this topic is clear, and the research question is clearly outlined, as are the subject process of selection, and the defined variables. The study methods are valid and reliable. The data in the Results section is presented in an appropriate way, the text added to the data (it is not repetitive), showing a practically meaningful results. The conclusion answered the study's hypothesis presented and are supported by their results. The limitations of this study are those inherent associated with any retrospective review studies. The references are relevant, recent, and listed correctly.

Overall, this article shown a proper study design which answered the hypothesis appropriately, added more scientific data about the effectiveness pelvic protection system use, and the article is fully consistent with itself.
