This paper aims to design the optimal control parameters in a power system stabilizer to mitigate low frequency oscillations. A heuristic-based farmland fertility algorithm (FFA) is implemented and compared with two other heuristic algorithms, i.e., genetic algorithm (GA) and particle sward optimization (PSO). The performance is tested on 39-bus system. Overall, the paper is interesting and well-written. Some comments are below.
1) The objective function in (14) as well as the following descriptions need to be double checked regarding the “min” and “max”.
2) How is the linear model (12) connected with the power system dynamic model (1)-(9)? It should be clearly explained.
