Comments on introduction/background

This article has an exquisite introduction where the reason for the Declaration is perfectly explained: to improve protocols for "controlled Donation after circulatory declaration of death" (cDCDD). First, the world framework for organ donation and the possible types of donation are explained, focusing on the topic to be discussed, the cDCDD.

Comments on methodology

Since the article is a Statement, methodology is more likely guideline, the focus on three big aspects (determining prognosis, determining death and repairing perfusion for transplantation success), resumen the literature about them and made the recommendations. This methodology is reliable and appropriate for the article.

Comments on data and results

In this paper there is no need to statistical analysis. Nevertheless, figures are relevant, clearly presented and essential for understanding the paper.

Comments on discussion and conclusions

All along the paper, recommendations are discussed from multiple angles and placed into context. Even there are no conclusions, the paper summarize the Statement in "Overall recommendations as a result of these consensus deliberations", these recommendations answer the aim of the study. No limitations are cited besides the introduction, and maybe it could be improved.
