Abstract

The study of tourism has been a considerable part of the work developed in sustainability by professionals in this area. This theoretical essay has the objective of constructing a set of theoretical constructs that will allow the realization of future researches whose object is to study the adoption of sustainability practices in the wine industry. In this sense, the authors propose a theoretical framework structured from the constructs obtained from the literature review. Moreover, this work suggests that empirical research needs to be done in wine producing regions in order to investigate whether and how sustainability practices contribute to the growth of wine tourism in these regions.
