An experienced professional with 10 years of combined experience in bioprocess development, bioreactor/ fermentation technology, (analytical) chemistry, biotechnology, and environmental engineering in both industry and academic settings. My work focused on bioprocess optimization, process characterization, application of new process concepts/ technologies, scale-up bioprocess/ bioreactors, aerobic/ anaerobic fermentation processes, cell culture, media optimization, troubleshooting. I demonstrated expertise in a variety of microbes (bacteria, yeasts, filamentous fungi), fermentation processes and products; floor/ bench scale (2-40L) fermenters (Applikon, Bioprocess Control), scale-up 3-30-300 gal. Currently, I am working with human and nonhuman primate pluripotent stem cells to generate cardiomyocytes in suspension culture and bioprocess development for cell manufacturing.
