Reviewers from University of Illinois Urbana-Cham
As Sr. Director of eLearning in the College of Business at Illinois, my role is to keep abreast of higher education innovations and best practices in teaching and learning. I was part of the team that envisioned and implemented the first-of-its-kind MOOC-based MBA program. It has been an important achievement that has given me the opportunity to explore, first hand, the innovation and change that new learning environments mean to our teaching and learning models. Now with programs using the iMBA model, we can see that MOOCs are a relevant phenomenon shaping the future of education. My goal is to advise and help our college to engage in the adoption of new models and integrate the best practices of business education for the lifelong learners and the new generations to come. As Assistant Research Prof in the HRD division at the College of Education, I investigate and inspire students in the path of course design and innovative learning models. I try to contribute to the field with my research on technologies for teaching and learning and online learning models, which has been published and presented in specialized journals and conferences.
