My research focuses on the evolution of culture through social learning. I am using computational models as well as animal experiments to investigate favourable conditions and cognitive mechanisms involved in social learning.

I am also passionate about facilitating discussion between researchers of different scientific fields, as well as between scientist and non-scientists.

I am Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Senior Scholar at Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Fellow at Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. I have broad background in biostatistics, with specific training and expertise in key research areas in this application. I am specifically interested in areas of survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, inverse probability treatment weighting, and potential (counterfactual) outcomes approach in causal inference. I have a general interest in statistical applications to public health, epidemiology and health policy research.
