Journal Editors at Cukurova University
Reviewers from Cukurova University
I am currently working as professor at the University of Cukurova, in the Department of Seafood Processing Technology.
My current research interest include seafood microbiology and technology, which are food borne pathogen, packaging, preservation techniques, biogenic amines, fatty acids and marine toxins. I have experience in determination of compounds such as biogenic amine, fatty acids, toxin, tocopherol, organic acids by using HPLC, GC and GC-MS instruments. I have many publications in the different Food Science Journals which have high impact factors.
Beyond my successes as a researcher (including 100 published or in press papers in the international journals), I have also attended many international conferences as speaker. I play a role as reviewer in many Food Science journal and projects for EU. I am editor or associate editor of some journals in the same field as well. I have extensive teaching experience related to seafood processing and microbiology, marine toxin, and HACCP course. I have worked in seafood processing technology for more than 18 years.
I am self-motivated, having an ambition to accomplish, quick learner, can work alone and in group. I like reading, planting, gardening, travelling, playing table tennis, trekking, fishing, running, diving and swimming.
After a medical degree in (MD) 1998, residency in Pediatrics in 2004 and residency and master of science degree (MSc) in Pediatric Oncology in 2009 at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Serhan Kupeli completed his 2-year-obliged state service at Children's Hospital in Diyarbakir. Beginning from 2011 he started to work at the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Units at Cukurova University, Adana. Principal areas of investigation of him are epidemiology of pediatric oncology and treatment of pediatric patients with malignant diseases, late effects and complications of cancer treatment and quality of life of cancer patients and survivors. Additionally he has been studying on the complications and issues afflicting the pediatric bone marrow transplantation. Especially he has focused on late effects and cardiotoxicity studies related with pediatric oncology patients over the last 5 years. He has published numerous SCI journal papers and was awarded by Hacettepe University Senate (2010). He is Associate Editor of Cukurova Medical Journal (indexed in ESCI, Web of Science)) and member of editorial board in four other scientific medical journals. Serhan Kupeli holding Professorhip in Pediatrics and Pediatric Oncology (2017) still works in Department of Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit, Medical School of Çukurova University.
Dr. Erman Salih İstifli received his Ph.D. from Biology Department of Çukurova University, Insitute of Science and Letter. In his doctoral study, Dr. İstifli focussed on the elucidation of the genotoxic and cytotoxic effects of a commonly used anticancer agent (antifolate) on human lymphocytes. Dr. İstifli, during his period of doctoral research, joined the molecular cytogenetics group at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, Germany, and he focussed there on investigating the molecular cytogenetic causes of some human rare diseases. During these studies, he contributed experimentally to the discovery of four candidate genes responsible for intelligence and obesity. He worked as an expert and/or rapporteur on eight candidate projects in the Marie-Sklodowska Curie-Actions Innovative Training Networks in 2016. He is a published author of 13 articles in SCI and SCI-E journals, and has 2 manuscripts in other refereed scientific journals. He currently serves as a referee in several journals covered by the SCI and SCI-E. His studies mainly fall into the field of genetic toxicology.
Dr. Selli worked as a full professor of food engineering department at Cukurova University, Adana-Turkey. My research interest is food chemistry and biotechnology especially characterization of key odorants in different food samples. Dr. Selli's teaching interests include food instrumental analysis, food chemistry, aroma analyzing techniques,
