I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, working on modeling, analysis, and optimization (mostly at the PHY and MAC layers) of wireless networks.
Application areas of my study include millimeter wave networks, massive wireless access, short packet transmission, massive MIMO, and cognitive networks.
Amir Masoud Pourrahimi was born in Kerman, Iran in 1985. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Pourrahimi received his Ph.D. degree in 2016 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden (Fibre and Polymer Technology). His main research interests are on synthesis and surface modification of metal-oxide nanoparticles to be used in polymer nanocomposites for highvoltage applications.
My research interests include interaction between nanoparticles and biological and environmental media. This is studied using surface spectroscopy, size distribution, and analytical techniques. Also, the interaction between metals and metal oxides and proteins are of interest and their effect on dissolution and release of metals
I work within experimental space physics, in particular studying aurora borealis and atmospheres in Earth and Jupiter system. My main expertise is in situ measurements of electric and magnetic fields, imaging and spectroscopy, including experiment development and data analysis. Taken wider, I am interested in aerospace technology, such as small satellites, space electronics, electric propulsion, etc.
