I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, working on modeling, analysis, and optimization (mostly at the PHY and MAC layers) of wireless networks.
Application areas of my study include millimeter wave networks, massive wireless access, short packet transmission, massive MIMO, and cognitive networks.
Amir Masoud Pourrahimi was born in Kerman, Iran in 1985. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. Pourrahimi received his Ph.D. degree in 2016 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden (Fibre and Polymer Technology). His main research interests are on synthesis and surface modification of metal-oxide nanoparticles to be used in polymer nanocomposites for highvoltage applications.
Mohsen received his B.Sc. (2010), M.Sc. (2012) degrees both in Mechanical Engineering from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman (SBUK), Iran and his Ph.D. (2016) degree from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in KTH and has a research position in industry. His main fields of interest and expertise are Fluid Dynamics, CFD, Combustion, Turbulent Reacting Flows, Thermo-Fluid Processes, Thermodynamics, Heat & Mass Transfer, Numerical Methods & Modeling
My research interests include interaction between nanoparticles and biological and environmental media. This is studied using surface spectroscopy, size distribution, and analytical techniques. Also, the interaction between metals and metal oxides and proteins are of interest and their effect on dissolution and release of metals
