Behavioral ecologist and evolutionary biologist. I'm especially interested in the evolution of animal communication and have focused on acoustic communication in insects and frogs. I'm currently a senior postdoctoral researcher at University College Cork where I am studying the relationship between cognition and sexual selection in great tits.

I am an evolutionary ecologist working as a researcher and lecturer in Cork, Ireland. I am interested in how organisms adapt and populations respond to environments that are highly variable across space and time, and heavily influenced by humans. I have worked previously with salmon in the US, songbirds in the Netherlands and seabirds in Scotland and continue to collaborate with researchers in these regions.
