    Surjo Soekadar

    Dr. Surjo R. Soekadar, MD, is a senior research scientist at the Institute of Medical Psychology and Behavioral Neurobiology, and resident physician at the University Hospital of Tübingen. From 2008-2011, he was fellow at the Human Cortical Physiology and Stroke Neurorehabilititation Section (HCPS) at the NIH, USA. His research interests include cortical plasticity, brain-machine interfaces (BMI), non-invasive brain stimulation and neural mechanisms of learning and memory.

    Sotirios Bisdas

    Sotirios Bisdas is Consultant at the Lysholm Department of Neuroradiology at National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, Senior Lecturer in Neuroradiology at the Institute of Neurology (University College London), and Professor of Radiology and Neuroradiology at Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, Germany.

    He obtained his medical degree after joint studies at the University of Athens, Greece and University of Mainz, Germany. He was trained in Radiology and Neuroradiology at the Hannover Medical School, the University of Frankfurt, and the University of Tübingen in Germany. He has completed a post-doctoral scholarship in Neuroradiology Research in the Medical University of South Carolina, USA and holds a MSc. degree in “Advanced Oncology” from the University of Ulm, Germany.

    His fields of expertise include functional CT and MR imaging in brain as well as head and neck oncology. He has authored or co-authored more than 110 peer-reviewed publications and 8 book chapters. Prof. Bisdas has been actively involved in MR-PET imaging, since its launch in 2009, as well as in intraoperative MR imaging and ultra-high-field brain MR spectroscopy.

    He is member of the editorial board of European Radiology, Insights into Imaging, BioMed Research, and Radiology Research and Practice. He is also editor-in-chief for the Head and Neck section of the European Journal of Radiology. He is actively engaged in professional societies being a fellow-at-large of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Head and Neck Radiology and member of the Head and Neck and IT Committees of the European Society of Neuroradiology.
