Peer review is at the heart of science. It’s the best tool we have for testing the validity and quality of scientific reports. Without reviewers (and editors) we’d have perpetual motion machines -- or at least a lot of published research that claims so. Our goal at Publons is to further improve this critical process by giving credit and providing training resources to peer reviewers.
We have a lot planned for this week, starting with today’s announcement of a partnership with the Royal Society -- the inventors of peer review. Great news for science!
Throughout the week we’ll be releasing new features, peer review resources, reviewer rewards, and several exciting new partnerships, all with the aim of celebrating the importance of peer review and reviewers in scholarly communication. Keep an eye on our blog and the hashtag #peerrevwk15 for the latest.
