Current post doctoral fellow with MIT's Senseable City Lab investigating living cells as actuators between physical forces and chemical synthesis. Jessica's research expertise includes computer aided tissue engineering and advanced biomanufacturing methods to arrange cells in 3D scaffolds which mimic anatomical architecture. Jessica received her PhD from Drexel University's Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics Department under the supervision of Dr. Wei Sun in the Biofabrication Lab. Research collaborators include NASA Johnson Space Center's Human Adaptation and Countermeasures Division, NASA Ames Synthetic Biology and internship with the National Space Biomedical Research Institute.
