Mario A. Muñoz


I completed my B.Eng. and M.Eng. (Electronics) degrees at Universidad del Valle, Colombia in 2005 and 2008 respectively; and my Ph.D. at The University of Melbourne, Australia in 2014. Currently, I am a Research Fellow (Level B1) at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, The University of Melbourne, Australia. My research focuses on the application of optimization, computational intelligence, signal processing, data analysis, and machine learning methods to ill-defined science, engineering and medicine problems. My current work focuses on the the algorithm selection problem for black-box optimization problems (both single- and multi-objective), knowledge discovery for gait data, and multiple-input multiple-output adaptive and intelligent control.
