My research program is focused on reconstructing terrestrial ecosystems to address how environmental change drives evolutionary processes in plants and animals. Specifically, my research is concentrated on assessing Cenozoic sedimentary systems, climates, and ecosystems in North America and eastern Africa and on developing improved paleoclimate and paleoecological proxies.
