Stephen Rankin


I hold a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis). I joined the University of Kentucky in 2000 after a postdoc at Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, NM. I am currently a Professor in the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. My research interests are in the application of both computational and experimental tools to materials synthesis and interfacial problems for applications in adsorption, energy conversion and storage, catalysis, and other separation technologies.
